Over the past five years, BCES has positioned itself as a leading specialist in Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure and Solar Energy Solutions — two of the fastest-growing sectors in the Australian construction and energy landscape. We have delivered some of Victoria's most technically demanding EV projects, working alongside the nation's leading EV technology and network providers. 

We also provide comprehensive building maintenance programs for commercial property owners, shopping centres, hotels, and facility managers — delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive response, compliance testing, and essential services management under one reliable contractor relationship.

Rhys brings over 15 years of hands-on experience in the electrical industry, with a career that has evolved from expert tradesman to accomplished business leader. What sets Rhys apart is the rare combination of deep technical capability and strong commercial acumen — he understands both the tools on site and the complexities of delivering high-value projects on time, on budget, and to specification.

Rhys began his career grounded in communications and electrical installation, developing a sharp eye for systems, detail, and compliance early in his trade. Over the following decade, he consistently took on greater responsibility — managing teams, coordinating multi-trade scopes, and building a reputation as someone who finds solutions rather than excuses.

Over the past four to five years, Rhys has developed into one of Victoria's most experienced EV charging infrastructure and solar energy specialists. He has personally overseen the design, delivery, and commissioning of EV and solar projects ranging from single-site commercial installations through to large-scale, multi-megawatt industrial rollouts in live operational environments.

This specialisation has earned BCES preferred installer status with some of Australia's leading EV technology and energy providers — go-EV, RACV, JetCharge, and Evnex. The RACV partnership has involved multiple combined EV and solar installations across Victoria, positioning BCES as a trusted contractor for integrated energy solutions.

Notable projects include a 2.3MW truck charging system for Linfox at Laverton North, a state government EV rollout for the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance, and multiple EV and solar installations for RACV — a combined value exceeding $2.7 million.

Beyond EV and solar, Rhys has a comprehensive skillset across commercial and industrial electrical contracting — body-protected medical environments, supply upgrades, structured cabling, lighting control systems (Dynalite, Cbus, KNX), essential services, and building maintenance programs for commercial properties.

His experience in live environments — where work must be completed without disrupting active operations — is a particular point of distinction. From hospital wards to busy transport facilities, Rhys delivers safely and efficiently under complex operational constraints.
